Ninety nine… One hundred… One hundred and one…

This is one of those ideas that comes to your head as you’re trying not to toss and turn in bed. One of those ideas that gets your brain’s gears cranking and grinding in the wee hours of the morning, when you really should be counting sheep or badgers or fairies or whatever helps you bore yourself into dreamland.

It pops into your head:

“I need to shoot my friends.”

Speedier than a Speedlite

Well, today is a momentous day.

I signed my lease agreement officially once and for all – so as long as things stay good, my trips to Toronto in search of accomodation are finally bearing fruit, and I’ll have a roof over my head for the next four months after school is done.

Up until that point (and mostly just after exams are done), I’ll be able to enjoy the other momentous development of the day:

Not Dead

Not yet, anyway.  Busy, but everyone here at PJ knows that.

So since I last posted, a new year has come and it’s already pretty much the middle of February already!  It’s amazing how fast time flies when you’re having fun, and how all your free time gets eaten up in different ways than you were expecting.  As a result, I’ve had very little time to get out and do any meaningful photography in the past month or so, and likewise I’ve had little time to do much more reading on the subject.

Four Fifths

Almost done exams (4 of 5 done), hurray.  Monday can’t get here soon enough.  I still am in need of an ugly Christmas Sweater for a party, but Value Village is only a short bus ride away so I’m sure I’ll pull through with that.  But alas, it’s going to be a week and a half at home with the family and I’ll probably be stuck being bored with nothing to do except head outside with my camera and hope I don’t get caught in the 6th blizzard in 7 days or something.

Speaking of cameras, this week I’d like to throw out some links to a few photography websites that I haunt a million times a day (I’m a professional lurker).  They are all great learning resources for techniques and for socializing with other photog-types if you can be bothered to register and interact.
